A. The Westinghouse 67975 is UL listed for Wet Locations. The product is made of aluminum so to prevent corrosion and rust, anodizing is a way of putting an artificial oxide coating on the aluminum. This coating is then often dyed and sealed to protect it. Protected aluminum is pretty good stuff and doesn't corrode if given a little bit of care. Natural aluminum also develops the same sort of coating (which is clear so it is hard to see), but it is more porous and fragile compared to anodized coatings.

Looks good, but wait...
We bought these lights eight months ago and they look great on our house. The problem is the caps on top of the light. They are built to keep the water and snow out and they are removable so you can change the light when it burns out. The caps are not secured at all and are not snug enough to keep them on the light. I found this out the hard way during an extremely windy day as two of the caps blew off and one landed on my sidewalk, shattering the glass inside the cap. After talking with lighting direct.com, I found out there are no replacements for the caps. I wouldn't buy these for any exposed areas of a house; better suited for something sheltered.

I ordered my lights on-line, and they arrived in only a few days. They look and perform just as they were described.

talk of the neighborhood
These lights are great! They provide a very unique look to the front of my house during the day. Sleek and attractive, and a Very dramatic lighting effect at night. They are a one of a kind look in the neighborhood. The price is excellent compared to other lights of this style that are available. They are easy to install, and your service and delivery is to be applauded. The only negative is the way they mount.
The plate, with the top and bottom screws do not provide a tight fit when attached, and can leave a large gap to fill if you need to shim to acheive a level mount. I would have preferred a tighter fit to the side of my house, but this is still minor. and I am very happy overall, with the lights & with Lighting Direct.
