  • The WAC Lighting EN-12150-RB-AR does not have sufficient wattage for 8 of the HR-86 lights. You would want the EN-12180-RB2 transformer instead. Both can use an electronic low voltage dimmer (purchased separately).

Is this the right transformer for (8) HR-86 lights and can I use a dimmer on this unit?

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rock solid item The LightingDirect site accurately described this product. I received it almost overnight, hooked it up and it did and still does perform perfectly. One subtlety with SST's is mechanical noise and RFI. The product makes no discernable sound and a spectrum analyser check showed no observable radiation that could interfere with HF radio receivers. overall I am very pleased and will use LightingDirect again.
