    A. Yes, this can be mounted in either direction.

  • Is there a way to turn off the down light and leave the others lit? Also, is there a cover on the down light or do you look at a bare bulb?

    A. Yes, you can have all lights on or off, or the up lights on while the down light is off, or the down light on while the up lights are off. The bulb on the down light is exposed when you look up.

  • Is there a dimmer on the lamp for the uplights, or do I need to wire a dimmer in the wall switch? Are there switches on the light itself to determine how it works, either together or independently?

    A. The Vaxcel Lighting CH30306 does not come with a dimmer or a switch, that would have to be wired into the wallswitch that you will be using for this light fixture.

Great fixture; big globes. The original globes, though attractive, seemed "in our faces." At a big box store, we purchased smaller ones. They do not fit as nicely, but they function better for us in a small galley-style kitchen-dining room. September 30, 2011
Very Satified We received our order in the time we we expected it. All the parts were present and undamaged. Installation was easy and took about 15 minutes to replace our old light. Customer service was prompt in answering our questions. May 21, 2011
ok purchase The light was just what I was looking for. However, it arrived dented and missing the ceiling cap. Because I had to have the light installed within a certain time, I could not wait for parts or a replacement, and we had to make do with unbending globe holders and using a piece from the fixture we took out. Though it looks fine now, it was quite discouraging to receive the light in such bad shape. December 27, 2010
