2 Questions from the Community

  • Hello, Can this post be inserted directed into a dirt ground, or does it need to be placed on a cement pad?

    A. If you wish for this to go into the ground, You need to pour a cement footing. It does not have to be a "pad". Please contact a contractor to determine how deep your footing should be depending on your winter weather conditions.

  • What is the difference between this post and pm4945? Pier mount?

    A. Thank you for choosing Build.com! I'm happy to help! It looks to me like the PM4945 is made of brass and the P8682 is made of aluminum.
