  • How far from the wall does this light come out? Do the glass shades go back to the wall? how far from the wall do the glass shades come out? I am trying to put these over a mirror that sticks out fromt he wall a few inches. Thanks

    A. The Sea Gull Lighting 44061 extends 10.25" from the wall to the tip of the glass shade and the glass shades do not touch the wall.

  • Can you change out the glass shade?

    A. The Sea Gull Lighting 44061 glass shades can definitely be changed out by unscrewing the surrounding screws that hold it in place.

  • What is the diameter of the mounting plate. We have a 5 inch round hole in the wall where the previous fixture was attached. We want to avoid wall repair, so we need a light with a mounting plate at least 5 inches diameter. Thank you

  • Are the glass shades on the chrome model white? They appear darker in the pictures.

    A. The Sea Gull Lighting 44061 has white shades. Sometimes the photo will darken the image so you can see the glow of light coming through the shade.

  • I'm interested in bathroom light fixtures that will not corrode. This type of fixture seems impossible to find.

    A. Thank you for contacting us. When searching for light fixtures on our site you might only consider fixtures have are listed for Damp or Wet locations. Fixtures that are rated for Damp or Wet locations will be listed in our Technical Specs box along the right-hand side of the page. These fixtures are specifically designed to be in humid locations (thus rated for Damp) or in direct contact with water (when rated as Wet).   • Can it be ceiling mounted. We have an older half bath and the old fixtures were mounted on the ceiling, rather than the wall.

    A. The Sea Gull Lighting 44061 can not be mounted to the ceiling it is a wall mounted light, the shades wouldn't fit on once installed to the ceiling.

  • Does this fixture come with a switch to turn it on and off, separate from the wall switch? If not, are there other fixtures from a similar collection that do have an on/off switch?

    A. The Sea Gull Lighting 44061 is hardwired which means there is no wall switch. If a light fixture used a plug, you will be able to see part of the cord. Almost every bathroom fixture is hardwired.

new review I want to disavow my previous review of this fixture. At that time I thought the only problem was mounting screws that were too short to hang this fixture. After purchasing screws at a local hardware, we mount the lights. We installeed decorator type bulbs in the unit. We decided to change to regular bulbs. Our attempt to take out the first bulb caused the whole unit to come apart. I don't know if major disassembly would allow us to put the unit back together but I don't want this thing anymore. I will be calling to find out how to return it for a complete refund. June 4, 2011
Easy to install We re-did the MB taking out the out dated fixtures, mirrors,lighting, shower, and bath towel bars. Your light fixtures really set off the entire atmosphere. We were first concerned about florescent bulbs, but after installation, we found that not only did they effectively give enough light, but that the softness of the lighting was exactly what we wanted. LIGHTING FIXTURE WARRANTY: Sea Gull Lighting fixtures and components and electronic products, when properly installed and under normal conditions of use, are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from date of sale. ENERGY STAR Qualified products are warranted for two years.

Sea Gull Lighting at its sole option will repair or replace, F.O.B. Factory, freight prepaid, any Sea Gull Lighting product defective in materials or workmanship. Such replacement is the exclusive remedy against Sea Gull Lighting should any of the products delivered prove defective. Invoices for labor charges and / or charge backs for labor will be denied unless prior written approval is given.Any modification to a Sea Gull Lighting product not made at the factory will void the products’ safety listing (such as UL, ETL, etc or other recognized laboratory) as well as the Sea Gull Lighting warranty policy.

CEILING FAN WARRANTY: Sea Gull Lighting ceiling fans offer a limited LIFETIME warranty to the original owner against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied and does not cover cost of removing and / or re-installing the fan.

Year one – Sea Gull Lighting will repair or replace this ceiling fan if it is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover the glass portions of this product, nor does it cover damages caused through abuse, improper installation, surges in current, or the acts of third parties.If a warranty claim is made in year one, simply return fan with a copy of the original sales receipt, freight prepaid to Sea Gull Lighting, at its option, shall repair or replace the fan or refund the purchase price. Please do not return glass portions of ceiling fan.

After Year One – Warranty is limited to the motor, Sea Gull Lighting will repair or replace the motor if defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to damages caused through abuse, improper installation, surges in electric current, or acts of third parties. If a warranty claim is made after year one, simply return the motor in housing with a copy of the original sales receipt, freight prepaid to Sea Gull Lighting. At its option, Sea Gull Lighting shall repair or replace the motor and housing, or refund the purchase price.
