Happy Purchased 2 for over my 35"W x 70"L island. The glass shades are a medium tan (not amber) and have a subtle off-white pattern kind of like sprinkled coconut or sprinkled rice. The metal color is very dark bronze which worked for me. Liked the character of the twisted iron just above the shades. Really happy to have 100-watt illumination, too. Put the pair on a dimmer switch for greater versatility. September 6, 2010
