What does ul damp and ul wet location mean? I'am considering using the Q681-8 in the ceiling in my shower room. Would this be a safe light fixture for a shower room?
A. UL damp locations are sheltered outdoor areas that are protected from direct contact with rain, etc. UL wet locations are unsheltered outdoor areas that are exposed to direct contact with rain, etc. The Quorum International Q681-8 is rated for damp locations so as long as it will be installed in an area where it will not receive prolonged, direct contact with water is is ok.
