How is this attached to the ceiling. Is there another piece that needs to be purchased? also, it says it is a kit- how much needs to be put together? thanks

The diffuser has a brown covering. Do I remove this? Does it peel off easily? Also, can it be installed without the pull chain for on/off and just use switch?
A. Per manufacturer, it is not recommended to peel off the brown covering of this fixture. This may be a safety hazard and if altering the fixture, this may not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This fixture must be installed with the pull chain.

Who may enforce the warranty:
This warranty may be enforced by the original end user only. The original end user must possess a dated proof of purchase from an authorized Quorum dealer to establish a warranty claim.
The product must be returned prepaid to Quorum International.
