wall sconce
I purchased this item as a hall light and it looks great but it is a little dark for a hallway due to the mosiac shells. I think it would be better used as an accent wall sconce rather than a stand alone light

Beautiful but dim
These sconses are quite beautiful when off (pearly white) and when on (glowing yellow and brown). They are more for ambiance, and little light is able to penetrate the shell mosaic to actually light the room. They can get very hot with the max 60 watt bulbs, even to the point of slightly roasting the wall.
