Do I need to know anything on codes in order to hang this...is it over 50 lbs? I heard that if it is the installer needs a box or something like that....Can you help.
A. The Quoizel LP5009 weighs 80 lbs so yes your installer will likely need to install it in a manner which can support that. As far as codes go, your local county building department should be able to give you a rundown on what they need & any local installer should be versed on what is needed to pass code & install this properly. Because codes vary greatly from place to place I cannot offer any advice on what would work for you. I hope this helps.
