  • We want to leave this light switched on but are concerned about energy usage. Will it accept alternatives to incandescent bulbs? Will a dusk-to-dawn photosensor work with it?

    A. The Quoizel CAR8406 cannot use anything other than an incandescent bulb. There is not an adapter for this light to use a dusk-to-dawn photo sensor.

  • what is the size of the wall mounting plate? We already have Hemco 150 watt dusk-to-dawn sensor. Will it work in this, or is there another we can purchase that would work?. Will it work

    A. The Quoizel CAR8406 backplate measures 5.5" by 5.5" and this should work just fine if wired correctly with the Hemco 150.

We love this light. We just purchased another of this light for our newly built garage. The original 2 we bought for our house are now a year old and look just as good as the day they were hung, except for a little darkening of the color. We also purchased 2 larger ones, slightly different style, but the same line and company for the front of the garage. These lights are simple in design, which we like, and look great. The bulbs are easy to replace. The bottom opening is large enough for your hand to fit through, unlike others we had looked at. They are a bit expensive, but are well worth the extra money. We absolutely love these lights. July 10, 2011
