Is this to be used to connect track to a plug outlet box for power?

A. The Progress Lighting P8751 is designed to give you a grounded outlet on a 110V track system.

Is the product P8751-09 UL / ULC /CSA listed

A. The Progress Lighting P8751 adapter itself is not listed but the track itself is UL/ CSA listed.

Can this adapter be used to connect to another track that is not situated near a junction box? It would be used in place of a wall outlet.

A. The Progress Lighting P8751 does not feed power into the track system so it would not work to power an addition track. In this case you would use Progress Lighting P8724 to connect from 8751 to the next track.

Let me rephrase my question. I think what I wanted was in the last sentence of your response. I would like to use this adapter on a track powered by a junction box. I want another track not powered by a junction box that will use the P8724 to connect to the adapter, not a wall outlet. This would give me great flexibilty in my design as both tracks will work off a single switch. I think this is possible?

A. The Progress Lighting P8751 can be connected to the track where you can flip the switch and both will be turned on because they are connected

so far, not happy I thought this product would be such a convenient and simple answer to some electrical needs, but so far it has been very disappointing. We cannot get current to run through the adaptor to use as intended. The track is fully powered, and the polarity of the adaptor has been taken into consideration, but all 3 adaptors fail to work.
