    A. Yes, the motion sensor can be overrode temporarily but will re-set it self after an 8 hour period. There is no permanent off switch.

Better Than I Thought We were in the process of "residing" our house when we chose to get new lights. Upon completing the order we were informed that the light was on backorder and would take about 4 weeks. We were very happy when we heard that the lights were ready to ship after 1 1/2 weeks. The picture really doesn't do this light justice. I thought for sure that the light would be "plastic", but it was much heavier duty. It is very elegant and looks great on our house. We chose to convert all our outdoor lights to this light. We placed one light at our back door for our patio area. Directly under the light is a "doggie door" for our 9 lb Maltese. The light does not detect our dog most of the time. November 9, 2007
