All Worked Out Well In The End The role of LightingDirect.com was excellent in the handling the problems with this fixture made by Progress Lighting. This item was drop-shipped from Progress Lighting from one state away and was received with a broken glass globe. LightingDirect.com had Progress Lighting send a replacement fixture that arrived with a broken globe for a 2nd time. On the 3rd try a usable and intact fixture arrived from Progress Lighting. The problem rests with the manufacturer, Progress Lighting, who drop-ships the fixtures in the factory boxes with no additional protection or double boxing. Even after having been asked by LightingDirect.com to double-box the 3rd shipment, Progress Lighting still shipped the item from the factory with no added protection, but luck was with me this time. LightingDIrect.com customer's service was excellent during this ordeal and I'm certain they lost money in the process since they had to "eat" two broken fixtures but it was evident their focus was on providing a positive customer service experience. I would certainly buy again from LightingDirec.com as my rep, Rodney, bent over backwards to accommodate my situation. May 27, 2010
