Functional Flushmount Ceiling Fixture from the Glass Globes Collection 4.5 5 2 2
After struggling to find the right fixture to light a stairway and upper hallway, I found this Progress Lighting model. Brass fixtures are a bit hard to find. I am satisfied with this one, though I would have much preferred a brushed or antiqued brass as the polished finish is a bit "loud" for my taste- not quite so elegant as the otherwise nice design of the fixture merits. Also, the CFL spiral bulbs show through the clear glass globes, and they are overly bright for me. I have, however, purchased some enclosed, bulb-like CFL lights that I believe that they will give a softer and more refined appearance inside the globes than those provided in the box. Overall, it is still a nice fixture. Finally, I did not install this so I cannot speak to that aspect - but my electrician had no problem putting it in. October 30, 2010
Perfect! We bought these in white to place in our walk-in closets. They provide great lighting for the space and look great! It had been a problem with previous fixtures to get adequate lighting, but this fixture was the perfect solution! Wish I had found them sooner. October 2, 2010
