Product Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking, but I have concerns Just finished installing two of these lamps. Like 4816 said below, this fixture won't work with a rectangle box. You have to use a circular box, and even then, you have to ignore the instructions diagram. In fact, the instructions are flat out terrible and filled with either misinformation or no information at all. First, they indicate separate locations for the plate mount and the fixture mount when, in fact, the two sit over each other. Further, the headless bolt used to affix the lamp to the receptacle is a touch bigger than the hole in the receptacle, so it's tough to screw in. What's worse, the headless nature of the bolt means you can use a drill or screwdriver. You have to figure out a way to tighten the headless bolt without damaging it (I ended up wrapping the bolt in some rubber insulation I cut off the copper wiring and then used a pair of pliers to turn it). Second, the instructions in no way mention what wattage bulb to use with lamp. The document found on this site tells you that. This site tells you that. The instructions that came with the product do not, and there's no label on the product itself that indicates wattage, either. Makes zero sense. Finally, of the two lamps I bought, one was welded together crooked at about a 6 or 7 degree angle. It was so obvious that I could tell it was off when I took it out of the box, but yet it made it through their quality control. Since I ordered these online, that set my project completion back about a week and necessitated a trip to the post office that should never have been needed. Like the title says, the product looks nice, but there are so many omissions, errors, and workmanship issues in the little things that give me concerns about the longevity of the product. I guess we'll see how things go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these lights I purchased two of these lights for my master bathroom. I love them and they look great. My only complaint is it took my electrician a long time to install them. I had a rectangle box in my wall which had to be replaced with a circular box. After that was replaced, it took some time to get the lights to fit properly. Once up, they look great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wrong hardware Beautiful lamps. One big problem. The mounting plate does not work with a standard, rectangle wall receptacle. The bolts that hold the lamp to the wall are too long. They line up exactly over the screws that hold the mounting plate to the wall, making it impossible to mount the lamp to the wall. More than 3/8" of bolt sticks thru the lamp base, decorative nuts are therefore not able to tighten up to the decorative base. Really a huge problem! Try to find shorter, chrome plate bolts that match! While not a home improvement professional, I have remodeled several homes and never encountered this problem before light fixtures began being imported from China!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Sconce! This is a solid, well-made sconce and one of the few polished brass ones I could find in stores and online. The globe attaches well to the sconce. Reversilibity is great as I had planned to install one way, but changed my mind and had no issues. Installation instructions left a bit to be desired, but the hardware was almost self-explanatory.
