Product Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks good but.. I surfed extensively to find a replacement fixture for the short hallway to the bedrooms & bathroom for a 1960's style globe that was in the small ranch house I bought. This fixture looked stylish but also understated. I liked the picture, the wattage seemed good and the size fit my 38" wide hall ceiling nicely, being about 8" wide, centering but not dominating. So I ordered one. The first one I received, in about 8 days, was a brushed nickel finish, rather than the bronze I'd ordered. No problem. The whole replacement order was the easiest and the best I've experienced. Still, waited another week. Upon receiving & installing it, which was easy, I realized when you are viewing it from the room you're leaving, that the bronze & smoke-tinted glass portions of the fixture that I'd liked the color of were hanging below a "shiny appliance white" base that totally ruins the appearance. The base should have also been of a similar color but instead it looks cheap. I'll try to use a craft paint or something to color it because I don't want that look in my house. The picture on the website doesn't show you that angle so you couldn't know. If the base complimented the light, I'd give it 5 stars. The light output is quite good so I can't fault that. You choose and I'll go to work trying to figure out how to hide that "maytag" look against the ceiling.
