Solid Product The NuTone QTREN080 Bathroom Exhaust Fan is a quality product and easily installed. Their greatest feature is they run reliably and quietly! Over the years I have installed eight NuTone Bathroom Exhaust Fans and have never had a problem. Expect all of them are still running. August 5, 2011
Excellent fan but a challenge to retrofit Pros: Now that this fan is installed, it is very, very quiet compared to the noisy 15-yr-old builder fans I replaced. I bought and installed two of these units. Cons: For a homeowner remodeler like me, the fan was a challenge to install as a retrofit, since it's designed for new construction, with no drywall to get in the way. Too bad they don't have instructions for people like us. If you do not have attic access above the fan, you will have a cut a hole in the ceiling larger than the fan outlet and then do some drywall patching. Also, there's a plastic backflow-prevention damper that will almost certainly fall out during installation. It should have been simple to re-install the damper but it wasn't. It was difficult to determine which side should face the outlet and which end should point down. I had to remove and replace my second new fan after discovering that the airflow was blocked. I had replaced the damper incorrectly. Good luck. November 15, 2010

Quiet As A Mouse These fans are awesome. I just installed four in a new home construction and could not believe how quiet the motor operates. These will be almost impossible to hear once drywall is completed. March 7, 2010

One Year Limited Warranty

Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS AND TUBES. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of an implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. BROAN-NUTONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH PRODUCT USE OR PERFORMANCE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
