Deluxe Iron Center - No Door

Deluxe Ironing Centers are sold without doors allowing you to choose a Custom Door (sold separately - see custom doors), or create a door to match your woodwork. Built-In Ironing Center shall be heavy gauge steel construction in white finish. A 49¼"H x 14¼"W x 4"D wall opening is required. Optional collar allows surface mounting when needed or desired.

Ironing Board:

  • All metal construction - Durable, provides years of long standing use
  • Ventilated metal board - Resistant to moisture and cools quickly
  • Three height settings - Adjust board height for optimum ironing comfort
  • Non-stick ironing board cover fits snuggly over the board and secures with a drawstring.
  • 180 degree swivel - Unit can fit in tight corners, provides additional ergonomics

Storage:

  • Hot iron storage shelf
  • Additional storage shelf - Ability to store spray bottles, starch, other items in cabinet

Electrical:

  • Timer - Choose when power is supplied
  • Pilot light - Shows when power is “on”
  • Built-in light - Provides functional lighting behind a shielded cover. (40 Watt bulb recommended, but not included.)
  • Safety switch/Auto shutoff - Electric supply is turned off when door is closed

  • Is the height on the AVD50N adjustible? The Installation Guide Linked to this page does not cover the AVD50N. It only goes as high as AVD50B.

    A. The NuTone AVD50N does have an adjustable height based on how high the wall opening is above the floor in our installation guide it shows the AVD50 series at the part where it says determine distance above the floor.

Well made except...! This ironing center is solid, well-made and functions very well EXCEPT, no standard iron will fit it. I had to give up my very nice Rowena for a tiny Conair steamer/iron to get the door closed. The only way I could get my iron in was to shove the ironing board all the way to the left and wedge it in. Not a satisfactory solution. When I called Nutone for help finding an iron to fit, their mechanically repeated reply was "At this time, we have no list of irons that will fit." When I pressed the tech support person for help, he said that manufacturers change their models, and "we have no list..." Why would Nutone produce this high-quality product, advertising a "hot iron shelf," when no standard sized iron will fit!? They could at least offer a made-to-fit one. If the thing weren't so heavy and it weren't such a hassle, I'd return it. I'll be wary of any Nutone product in the future. December 31, 2010
Easy to install and use, takes minimal space We're both happy with the ironing center. My husband installed it quickly and easily between the studs. We installed it in our very tiny laundry room which is really just part of a the hallway outside our bedroom. We have a stackable washer/dryer, a small linen/utility closet next to the wall outside our bedroom The ironing center fit right in that bit of wall space. I like the ease of use and the swivel so I can turn it to the most convenient position. We purchased the unfinished door then stained it to match the rest of our cabinetry. It blends beautifully. One Year Limited Warranty

Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS AND TUBES. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of an implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
