Can this be used in a bathroom?
A. You would not want to use the Murray Feiss MF FM221 in the bathroom due to steam. If you are looking for a bathroom fixture, then look for fixtures that are UL listed for damp or wet locations. This insures the item can handle steam (damp) and condensation (wet).

Quality Control Issues
This product arrived without any screws in the package. The dome fits flush with the bracket only after extensive fiddling. Finally, the fixture gets extremely hot after only a few minutes with the recommended 60W bulbs. All in all, some serious quality control issues that are not acceptable in a fixture at this price point. This isn't my first Murray Feiss fixture, but it could be my last. The only reason I did not return it is because the electrician I hired to install it had the necessary screws, got the dome to fit flush, and recommended that I use 40W or compact flourescent bulbs.
