what do you mean by 78.75H? I have a 9 foot ceiling where I intend to place it. Will it fit?

A. The maximum hanging height for this item is 78.75"h. From the bottom of the fixture up to the point where the 4 arms meet is 22.5"h. This fixture also includes 1 6" and 3 12" stems to allow for height adjustments.

I would prefer not to use a chain for installation, but the fixture will be mounted about 12 feet high and be over a dining room table. Can I use more than one rod or do I have to use a chain?
