There are reports about the motor having a hum/noise. Have you had those complaints? How does this motor compare quality-wise with Hunter WhisperWind?
A. The MinkaAire Zen is a great quality fan. I have not heard of any humming coming from the motor as of yet and any reports of such may be isolated cases. If there are any issues the manufacturer is great about fixing or replacing any issue. Both fans suggested are of high quality.

Nice fan
Package had everything advertised. Looks great. Just be aware it has only 3 speed settings. Installed with ease.
