Stylish and Functional
I purchased this fan for my living room, and Lighting Direct was prompt with delivery. I had the fan installed by my electrician, so I can't attest to the difficulty of putting it up. My electrician said it took a little while to figure out. Also, I'm not one to pay that much for a fixture usually, so I went back and forth on this fan for about a month, looking at other sites, comparing it to other fans. But, I wanted a bit of a statement piece for the living room.
It was worth it! I got the mahogany finish, and it is usually the first thing to catch my guests' eyes when they walk in the door. It is very quiet. At high speeds, all you hear is the air blowing, and it moves a lot of air. I should be a lot cooler this summer. It comes with the wall remote, and the 100W halogen puts out a bright "spotlight" look, which is great for a living room with a TV in it. If you want more ambient light in the room, you will have to supplement the fan light.
All in all, a little expensive, but a really good value! I recommend it.

bought this for NYC apartment- beautiful design and craftsmanship - this is the 4th Minka fan I've bought

This fan is AMAZING... I think it's the best fan I have ever seen.. very quiet, smooth and works really well.. zero wobble... love it
