How many inches does the MinkaAire Concept II 52inch fan drop from the ceiling?

The picture shows Oil Rubbed Bronze MinkaAire Concept II 52 with matching blades but the description says Taupe blades. Is that right?
A. The blades on the Oil Rubbed Bronze MinkaAire Concept II 52 finish are Taupe, but the color is similar enough that it is hard to tell in the picture. The Taupe is actually a little lighter in color than the Oil Rubbed Bronze.

Which in-wall remote works with this fan?
A. The MinkaAire MA WC210 wall control is compatible with all older MinkaAire Concept II 52 fan. For newer ones, you will need the WC210. Please call if you have questions about what one you have.

The fan motor does not work, but hums slightly. The light works fine. What's wrong?

Some customers complain of a "ticking" noise. Is MinkaAire attempting to fix this problem so that it is a better product and so that customers won't be deterred from buying this fan?
A. The MinkaAire Concept II 52 is not meant to tick. The two exceptions were isolated cases that appear to have been corrected. This is an extremely popular product that as far as reviewed is 98% positive. The ticking is not consistant with every one of these fans purchased and installed. Perhaps you can contact MinkaAire directly for any technical related questions.

Lovely
Love the looks and performance of this fan. Much more effective than our old one. Easy to install and love that it has a light as well. Would definitely recommend this.

I love this fan. I was concerned at first because it has 3 blades but now, after using it for several months, no more concerns. It moves the air, is quiet and very stylish. In fact we are going to put this fan in all our bedrooms.

great product
I bought 5 of these fans around 2 years ago at my other house and of course now at my other house that I'm finishing the remodeling I chose to use the same fans again.
They have a unique design that has the clean cut and looks different than the other fans.

I got what I wanted
I like the clean, contemporary look of this ceiling fan. It installed quickly and with relative ease and works very well. There's the slightest noise but I'm sure I'll be able to adjust. Very pleased. I ordered one in oiled bronze and one in white.

Beyond satisfied and pleased!!!
We searched everywhere for the perfect ceiling fan and light for our bedroom. the room ,not being to large we didn't want something that would look out of place. I found this website. What a selection! We installed the ceiling fan the day it arrived. It is so sleek looking. No noise at all. Looks terriffic in my bedroom.

New kitchen fan
We ordered this fan at the recommendation of a friend who had purchased 3 of the 42" Minka Aire fans and loved them. We needed a replacement fan for our kitchen. The old fan had 52" blades so we ordered the same size. I was worried that it might be too big for the room but it's just right. We ordered the white as the ceiling and cabinets are white. It's very sleek and blends in beautifully and the absence of dangling pull cords is a definite plus. We're keeping the remote on the window sill so we won't lose it and we're using the wall switch to turn the light on and off. The fan is very quiet. The only disadvantage: it's not as "green" as we'd like because it has a dimmer function and requires an incandescent light source rather than a compact flourescent. Installation took the electricians 20 minutes and they didn't appear to have any problems.

Nice looking fan, works well!
I bought this fan to replace a deco-ish ceiling fixture in out master bedroom. It works so much better than the oscillating fan we were using before. The medium setting is perfect for us. High almost feels like a hurricane! We purchased the optional wall switch, and it makes operating the fan a breeze! However, the wiring diagram that came with the fan did not match the configuration of the fan. We were able to figure it out, but there was not green ground wire on the fixture itself. We just attached the green wire on the bracket to an available screw on the light fixture. My one complaint is the 100w halogen mini-can light is not very bright and it makes the fixture very hot.

Great Product
I had two of these fans in my home before this purchase. I was just adding this to another room. It was easy installation and it's a really great fan. They very quiet and convenient to use with the remote. I really like the easy change of the remote frequency as I had a conflict with an existing fan on the same floor. The procedures in the manual made the task easy. I was worried I would have to pull the fan down to change the frequency but it's a self learning system. I appreciate the Lighting Directs store front and great service. I would shop here again.
