Is there a replacement glass for the ML 6824 that is "lighter" than the alabaster dust? We have this fixture in our bathroom, but do not feel it puts out enough light.

Great on a dimmer switch
I bought this for a master bathroom that we renovated. It arrived quickly and installed easily. We wanted to create a zen-like bathroom retreat with a modern feel so I was looking for a fixture that had a warm glow. But we had textured the wall around our old fixture so we needed a new one that had the right dimensions to cover up all the non-textured wall. This one was perfect on both counts. After installing, we replaced the standard builder wall light switch with a dimmer and it works fabulously for those low-light relaxing showers or baths. The instructions tell you not to place hallogen bulbs in a humid room. But since our bathroom is large enough and has a fan that keeps the humidity in check, I don't think it's much of an issue. I would not recommend hallogen for a small bathroom.
