How long is the down rod for this light and can it be shortened?

What size is the fixture? i.e diameter...

does the light have an on/off switch. would like to use it above a bedside table and be able to trun off and on without having to get out of bed. if not is there a pendant wihich uses 100 watt bulb with an on/off switch?
A. The Minka Lavery ML 176 is meant to be hard wired so it will be used with a wall switch it does not have an on and off switch on the actual light. Most pendants are used for that purpose. If you want a pendant to work in that application you can always get an electrician to wire a outlet to be by your bed with a switch connected to the pedant.

Can these be mounted on a sloped ceiling? If so, what is the rod kit item number--we need to extend 64" - 72"?

Couldn't be happier!!
We absolutely LOVE our new Minka Lavery lights. They fit perfectly with our theme for our Kitchen peninsula. They went up so easy and the delivery was very fast. All our friends and family just love the lights. I would highly recommend this brand and the company we bought them from. We needed an extra down rod and the sales person who helped me was fabulous. Great Light
This light was placed on a ceiling with a 15 degree slope above my kitchen sink. It looks great with the iron structure and the shade. It was easy to install and only took me a half-hour. Great seller too!

Love it!
We are building a log home and were looking for a specific style of light - something simple, rustic, and beautiful. Looked extensively in stores and on-line. When I found the Minka Lavery Aspen series I knew they were right. We bought 5 pendants, 3 vanity, and a wall sconce and couldn't be happier with them.
