What is the size of the canopy that fits against the ceiling? I'm replacing a 6" diameter recessed downlight, and am wondering if I will have to perform some sheetrock patching.

Why is the ML1279 rated for two 60Watt bulbs and the 1279 (white glass) rated for two 100 Watt bulbs? I really would like the ML1279 but want the 100 Watt bulbs. Thanks.

Beautiful
I put this light in my livingroom on a dimmer. I love the amber glass. It has a very nice effect on the ceiling and cast the right amount of light needed for this cozy space. It is heavy to install so 2 helpers works best.
