    A. The Maxim MX 11093 unfortunately cannot be retro-fit with fabric shades as Maxim only makes the fixture to take glass shades.

Good choice The light fixture was easy to install and it looks great. I used the 5-light fixture over the table and the 3-light fixture over the island; I ordered one first to make sure it looked like the picture on the webiste and it was exactly as represented. The bronze finish color is warm and casual but certainly does not look cheap. I looked in many stores and catalogues until I found the size and style I was looking for and am quite pleased. The glass does have a slight tint which makes the lighting a warm color. February 14, 2009
Worst Internet Purchase Ever This island light looked great in the picture on the internet. And the glass in the 3 lights looked great. But in reality it's an extremely cheap-looking fixture and the glass is some off-shade of white that looks awful. When the electrician installed it, he said it was really poor quality and that I should return it! So much for the internet. Paid an electrician $100 to install a light that looks horrible! Now what? Excellent light at a low price We used this light in the kitchen and on a dimmer switch which I highly recommend as it can be very bright with 3 100watt bulbs in place. It was actually much nicer than I expected. The glass has a very light speckled look to it as well that is very subtle. February 6, 2008

With the exceptions listed below, Maxim Lighting International products are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for ONE YEAR from date of shipment. The exceptions are:

The CounterMax™ MX-L LED Under Cabinet Lighting 87902WT/SA/MB, 87904WT/SA/MB, and 87906WT/SA/MB will be warranted for normal use for 25 years while the original purchaser owns it. Normal use means residential non-commercial use for no more than 6 hours per day in an environment that does not exceed 77°F.

The CounterMax™ MX-X12 Xenon Under Cabinet Lighting 87849WT/MB, 87851WT/MB, 87852WT/MB, 87853WT/MB, 87859WT/MB, 87861WT/MB, 87862WT/MB, 87863WT/MB will be warranted for normal use for 15 years while the original purchaser owns it. Normal use means residential non-commercial use for no more than 6 hours per day in an environment that does not exceed 77°F.

All Vivex™ outdoor fixtures will be warranted for normal use for 3 years while the original purchaser owns it.

Maxim Lighting International will, at its election, repair, replace or make appropriate adjustment where Maxim Lighting International inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one (1) year after date of shipment. Maxim Lighting International is not responsible for removal or installation costs. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product only and that Maxim Lighting International is not responsible for any labor incurred. Use of incorrect installation methods and/or bulb wattage will void the warranty.
