Liz Jordan Lighting
Sophisticated sconce with gauzy fabric shade. We placed this lamp on the wall of our front stairwell and it works very well in this location.

Light Dim, Hard to Assemble
Huge problem with this light: it's advertised as a 100W max light, but it's really only a 60W max. Not sure how Lighting Direct got this wrong, as the max is stamped on the bulb socket and on the box the light comes in. The light is too dim and not effective for the space I wanted to light because of that.
The fact that the shade is more opaque than it seems from the picture doesn't help matters any.
Another problem with this light: the instructions aren't great, and the light isn't well constructed to begin with. The instructions don't explain what to do with all the parts that come with the lamp, for example. And of the parts it does account for, some of them seem slightly the wrong size - the bolt that attaches the mounting plate to the part of the lamp you see, for example, is slightly too long, which means that the lamp doesn't fit securely against the wall. I had to add a few washers to rig it to be a bit more secure.
On the up side, the lamp does include a nice cord cover (3' in length) not mentioned in the product description that matches the base of the lamp. But this isn't enough to make up for the fact that this product isn't as advertised and isn't well-made or easy to assemble.

Hit the Jackpot!
After lots of online looking and store shopping, I was not able to find a "pin up lamp". Then, I found this one.
It was reasonably priced, works perfectly on a small wall space, and looks GREAT! Good quality; sharp look...
