What is the width and depth of the base?

I am wondering about the color of this lamp. I am looking for something that is more black than bronze. This appears to be pretty dark -- would you say that it has a wrought iron look as opposed to a golden bronze look?
A. Thank you for your question. The Lite Source LS-398 is certainly not dark enough to be a wrought iron black, however it is much darker than a golden bronze, there are hints of golden highlights, but generally it is a dark brown/bronze color. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Beautiful lamp, low quality
It looked great on my piano, but it wouldn't tighten completely and the top part kept falling. It all came to an end when I overtightened the adjusting rod and ruined the threads. It's completely useless and its next home will be a metal recycling center... And all of that after being on backorder for several months - but it was a pretty lamp.

Very nice piano lamp
Very happy with this. Looks sharp and casts a great light. Problem at first tightening arm to stand straight but all seems okay now.

good deal of a lamp
I shopped around and this site had the best deal on the lamp among all of the other places selling this exact lamp. I had to wait a month or so because it was on backorder. Nice and wide to light several pages of music and a color that makes it unobtrusive.

Beautiful lamp
This lamp is gorgeous! I'm so glad that I ordered it, despite the fact that it wasn't in stock at the time. The wait was minimal (2-3 weeks), and when it arrived it was well packed. Sturdy, beautiful, and provides a lot of light. This was a great purchase. Thanks!

Perfect Piano Lamp
The antique piano lamp is beautiful (LS-398). It has very nice subtle touches and coloring. It spans a very wide and bright 16" lighting area for our pianist. She loves it! Best price on all eBay! Quick Ship and top-notch correspondence all the way through. Amen!

Perfect gift
I purchased the piano light for my two grandchildren who are taking piano lessons. While visiting with them I noticed they had insufficient lighting at the piano, so I went online and found this piano lamp at a very reasonable price. My daughter-in-law said the children are better able to read their music and the lamp is the exact color and style she had wanted.

Just right!
Perfect for my new piano! Base is heavy, so lamp doesn't tip when it must be adjusted. Gives plenty of light on my music without glare. Adjusts easily, and stays adjusted! Beautiful color and design. I was amazed to find this good quality at a very reasonable price.

Great quality & affordable
5 stars due to value price and quality.
My only complaint is that I didn't realize when ordered for Christmas it was on backorder. My fault, I guess, so I had to wait a month later to receive.
Well worth the wait, though. I was able to get it for half the price of other piano lamps. It is well made, gives off a great light (2 bulbs needed), and we find ourselves playing the piano a lot more than before.
The color's great and everything works perfectly.

Great Piano light--great price
What a great light for my new piano. Beautiful finish making it up to date but still a little rustic too. I was glad to know that piano lamps come in other finishes besides BRASS! Also the PRICE was unbeatable...many other internet sites wanted a couple hundred dollars more for something very similar or identical. Would shop here again!
