Bright and brighter
I bought four of these because my husband loves to pull and twist a lamp over his eyes whether or not the shade is made to be pulled and twisted. This is a nice lamp with a sturdy base and adjustable neck. I can't tell much difference between the low and high settings; they both are very bright to me. I wish the shade/top hung over the bulb a bit more because if it seems to hit you in the eyes when one person uses it for reading and another person is sitting elsewhere in the room. However, if you need a bright light for reading or close work, this lamp may fit your needs perfectly. I'd buy it again.

Light for Sewing
I use this lamp beside my sewing machine. It replaced one that quit working (another brand) so I wanted something different. This one works just as well. I can't imagine trying to work without it. Great purchase for a reasonable price.
