Exactly what I wanted
We wanted a light for over our bed, but there's a window over the bed. This light allowed us to attach it to the far side of the bed, but pull it out to the center so we could each read before we went to sleep. In the morning, it slides back flush against the wall. Great!

Head pivots left and right only
We got these lights for a gallery situation, and they are very nice, but....the head only pivots left and right, not a free pivot in all directions so you cannot focus this down unless you mount it sideways. We are mounting two of these next to each other to illuminate art to the right and left but in one case with art below the mount area, we cannot mount the pair side by side without one being sideways, which looks pretty weird. You should know this if you really need a free pivot head.

love my new lamps
Actually a little different from picture...the on/off switch is not on the stem/arm of the fixture but on the wall plate..i like this even better....great experience w/ LightingDirect.com...i LOVE MY NEW LAMPS & you actually surprised me w/ the energy saver bulbs...delivered so quickly!! thanks!

nice, but color is misleading
the sconces are nice and easy to install (we just did wall-mount). however, i completely agree with a previous reviewer who said that the color isn't as pictured. the "antique bronze" looks black. i thought that we had gotten the wrong product at first. we're happy with them and won't return them, but they are most definitely black not bronze!

nice light for reading in bed
We had an electrician install this light (hardwire mount) near my son's bed. It's easy for him to turn it off/on without having to get out of bed. We also chose it because it takes a regular bulb - not a halogen. Halogens are too hot/dangerous to be near a young child and too hot to be near any bedding. I wish it had a little longer reach, but I am not dissapointed, as I knew the measurements going into the purchase.

Nice sconces but color not as pictured
These are beautiful, but I have to note that the ones we got are MUCH darker than this seller (and everyone else who has them) shows on the photo. I actually thought it was black as I was opening it. But there is the slightest brown-bronze cast to it.
Extremely pleased with Lighting Direct though.
