A. The Kovacs GK P4358-1 shade is 15 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide on the bottom. The width on the top of the shade is 4.5 inches. Unfortunatley Kovac does not have the dimension of the depth when the light is not extended but each arm is 9.5 inches long. The shade is 8.5 inches in diameter so it would have to be atleast 8.5 inches in depth but not more than 9.5 inches. Hope this helps.

Mounting Options
The light comes with two backplates--one for mounting on the wall in a plug-in configuration and the other for mounting on an electrical box. Both sets of hardware are packed separately in the shipping box, so don't overlook them. I have not mounted the lights yet, but it looks straight forward.
