To regulate hot and cold do you need to push the lever back, or only forward?

Does the handle lever move back from vertical position or only forward? I'm worried about the lever hitting the backsplash if it tilts back.

Can this faucet or any of the other Jado faucets be used with a base plate? If so, do you have a Jado part number for the plate?
A. The Jado 800/840 is not made to be used with an escutcheon. The mounting unit is meant to fit right onto the sink. You might be able to have a metalwork fabricate you something that will fit the sink area if you are trying to fill the remains of a widespread faucet.
