What is meant by a candelabra bulb base? Can I regular incandescent or the new energy smart lights with this fan?

Can I get a differnt light kit? a simple one shade? I do not like the three light style.

Can I get a different light shade on this fan? I do not like the multible shade look.

Must the light be on in order to operate the fan?
