A. The Hunter 26419 features a canopy that attaches to the ceiling that measures 6.7". The fan body itself measures 11.1" in diameter. The fan itself measures 12.6" in height, which includes the 2.5" downrod included. what is the "hands free canopy" feature of this fan?
A. The feature hands free canopy is a great feature for the installer of your fan. The canopy has a hook inside of it that allows you to secure the fan, leaving you with both hands to be able to connect the wiring. When the wiring is done the hook lays inside of the canopy and is now ready to be attached to the ceiling.

Some asked a question about wall controlls that concerns me. My house was built in 1996. I too want to replace an existing ceiling fan the is controlled by the wall switch. How would I know if the switch would be compatible? I thought wiring was pretty standard now days.
