A. The Hunter 25579 can be installed as a flush mounted fan. However we could not find the diameter of the ceiling plate but it would have the same diameter flush mount or mounted normally and should be around 6-8 inches. The light kit also is removable so you dont have to use it but there is not a model that does not include it.

My home has cathedral ceilings. Can I mount this fan on a long rod like my current ceiling fan? Also, will this model work with the model 27186 Wall Mount Control?

Is there a remote available for this fan.light? I just found this NON answer from another person. For this Hunter 25579, do I have to buy a remote to make it work? Or, does it have chains hanging down for control of the lights and fan/speed? A. The Hunter 25579 does not come with a remote but does have chains to control speed and light. The remotes are 27185 for the hand held and 27186 for the wall mount. I hope this helps. Are you saying we can buy a hand held remote?

The product did not come with pull chains to turn it on & off.....The chains attached were a few inches long..I had to buy new ones !

Best ceiling fan ever
I would recommend Hunter ceiling fans to anybody. Easy to install, Looks great, Works great. Very quiet and comes with light bulbs.
