A. You can use pretty much any color you want, but most of the time white will be used. We do carry a 36 inch downrod which is Hunter Downrods-36. You cannot cut these down because they are threaded on 1 side and have screw holes for mounting on the other side.

What does it mean that the blades are "reversible?" We just want a white color, and wouldn't want to see the oak color at all. Can we order all white blades?

Concerning the reversible blades, we would not want any of the bleached oak color showing. We want a totally white fan. With the white side showing downwards, would the oak color be showing on the edges of the blades? Also, another question is: can we purchase blades which are white on both sides for this fan?
