  • I read that this fan does not have a sloped ceiling adaptor, but can it be used on a sloped ceiling? if so what is the maximum pitch? does this apply to all hunter fans

    A. The Hunter 21585 can be mounted up to an 8/12 or 33 degree pitch ceiling. If its steeper you will need an adapter piece part number 22175, which goes up to 45 degrees.

Great fan When I first installed the fan, there was basically zero air flow coming from the fan. I was concerned that maybe the blades weren't angled enough or were not wide enough but after doing a little research, I found that fans must have enough space between the blades and the ceiling. I decided to change out the 3" downrod that came with the fan with a 12" downrod. Now the airflow is better than my previous ceiling fan. My previous fan worked fine with a 3" downrod so this fan's design seems to be more sensitive to the proper spacing. August 5, 2011
