DO NOT Purchase this item! Barely lit up a 10 x 10 painting. This was a waste of money. April 22, 2011
works well as alternative to electric lamp this lamp works ok on my piano. I do not have an electric outlet and had not other choice. It is not as good as an electric lamp but works as an alternative. Product was somewhat difficult to assemble but finally got it done and it fits well on the piano. Instructions could use some refinement. I would purchase again as it meets my need. July 19, 2010
Not enough light I purchased this fixture based on the only other review at the time. I was very disappointed in the fixture. It hardly gives off any light and what it does give off only covers the exact size of the lamp. It would be good for a 12" painting. January 10, 2009
Should have gone this route earlier My House of Troy Picture Light is really great! It works beautifully, and had I known, I would have made this choice some months ago. Unfortunately, I went first with Westinghouse and after 3-4 times of returning the item and having almost identical problems with it, I finally went with House of Troy. October 17, 2008
