  • Is this fixture low voltage, with a transformer required?

    A. Yes, the H1546 is a low voltage light, and does require a transformer. The transformer you would need will depend on the number of lights you are wanting to use.

  • Does this light use a dbl 18 ga. wire- is it compatible with the Kichler Quik- disc connector?

    A. The Hinkley Lighting H1546 does utilize double 18 gauge wire and I cannot give you the answer on the compatibility of the kichler quick disc connector as they are made by different manufacturers and use of the two together would void the warranty if anything were to happen.

  • if I wanted to use three of these lights on my pathway, what size transformer would I require?

    A. You can use any Hinkley transformer that allows more than 36 watts, and the lowest wattage I found was the H0150 which is 150 watts.

  • I'm wondering how often these should be distributed along a pathway. (to go on a retaining wall) is one every 6 ft adequate? I don't want it lit up like a Christmas tree...just enough to safely distinguish the pathway.

    A. Since the Hinkley Lighting H1546 is louvered downward, you shouldn't have to worry about it lighting up like a Christmas tree. You should also be fine with 6' spacing, though the light might get a bit dim toward the edges of each light's throw.

  • I have a Malibu 200 watt transformer with 8 lights "quick connected" to 14 gauge wiring. Can I "quick connect" your lights to existing wiring

    A. The Hinkley Lighting H1546 is not made to be used with other brands transformers. Most all connections are brand specific.

    A. The Hinkley Lighting H1546 (and all like items) will not be able to be used with other branded transformers.

  • What type/size minimum transformer would I require for (10) manufacture #1546CO lights?

    A. To use 10 of the Hinkley Lighting H1546 you will need at least a 120w transformer. Hinkley recommends the Hinkley Lighting 0150BK.
