  • how far down from the cieling can you safly use the down rods?

    A. The ideal height of a ceiling fan is 7-8' off the floor. There isn't really a maximum down rod lenght althought the longest down rod I believe I've seen is 9'.

    A. The 6" down rod would work nicely with the Fanimation Air Shadow - 820.

  • Can this fan be flush mount, if not can you use a 3" downrod? My ceiling is 8' and I want as much space as possible.

    A. The Fanimation Air Shadow - 820 can not be flush mounted or used with a 3" downrod. The shortest it can use is a 4" downrod.
