1 Question from the Community

  • The Emerson HF948 does not have a reverse function and there is no adjustment to make it reverse. This fan is the only Emerson fan that does not have that function.

does this fan have a reversed switch for recirculating trapped air in winter? If so where is it? If not, how does one make the adjustment?

    A. The Emerson HF948 does not have a reverse function and there is no adjustment to make it reverse. This fan is the only Emerson fan that does not have that function.

Product Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Fan...but This fan is described as industrial and we should have enquired if that meant appearance or installation. Unfortunately it means installation. Exactly what we were looking for, and also comes with an 8" and 22" rod, however it isn't intended for a finished room unless you have access to the area above the fixture. Having a finished vaulted ceiling, and not wanting to return it, with some patience I was able to install it . We had also purchased the Emerson SW81 variable rotary control which created a motor hum, more annoying at low speed, as reported in the installation manual. Became tired of this noise quickly and replaced the control with a Leviton RTF01-10W Quiet Fan Control, now no more hum.
