  • where can one purchase the light kit for this fan? We have the fan but it has never had the light and we'd like to install it.

    A. Light kits are normally manufacturers specific, to make sure you get the correct fit if you have your fan model number and the emerson light kit you are interested in we would be happy to make sure that they will be compatible.

  • 3 questions: 1) What color is the glass shade? 2) Can you use 44" blades instead of 3? 3) Can it be flush mounted?

    A. The Emerson CF712 fan's comes with the following shade colors: Alabaster Swirl glass (White) and Amber Scavo Glass (depending on the finish). This fan only uses 50" blades and is dual mounted meaning it can be flushmounted as well.

  • Does this come with the wall switch shown in "additional images?" If so, does this control both the light & the fan? Also what is the color of the glass shade on the Oil Rubbed Bronze fan?

    A. The Emerson CF712 does not include the wall switch and we will remove that image from the gallery. The glass color is Amber Scavo for the Oil Rubbed Bronze fan.

Beautiful Fan This fan is simply beautiful. The globe is a nice shape and the housing looks substantial. The blades turn nicely--not wobbly and flimsy. The installation went smoothly. I purchased an extension rod separately, and it worked well with this assembly. I could not be more pleased. May 9, 2011
Great Fan I bought this fan after over a week of searching for the perfect fan. We love it! My husband installed it by himself to replace an existing fan that was going out (loud) and I can't believe how quiet it is! We got it in the oil-brushed bronze finish because I liked the dark on dark look the best. The light isn't the brightest but it gives a good atmosphere for our master bedroom. We also have it on a dimmer and it works perfectly. Very good fan also! December 12, 2010
Bought 3 - one silent, two noisy Lighting Direct provided all the lighting for a house remodel we did five years ago, and the pricing and quality was so consistently excellent, I was confident enough to order three of these fans at once. They are good looking, nicer than their photo. They provide a bright light when needed. The glass cover is white, not the amberish color it looks in the photo, which I don't mind. The light is brighter than it appears in the photo, which I like. Problem: One fan is absolutely silent, one hums noticeably at any speed, and one makes an annoying clicking or rattling noise. I know that technically I can return the two noisy ones, but because we paid $$$ to have them installed and would have to pay $$$ again to have them taken down, and because we need the cooling right now, I'll probably put up with the nuisance, but I'm not happy. Buyer beware - quality ranges from fan to fan. August 8, 2010

VERY SATISFIED & COOL This Emerson ceiling fan looks great and so QUIET.....love the cream color light and the bronze look. After ordering it, then they said they didn't have any on stock.....we asked them to double check and lo and behold she found one. That is good service....and they came quickly and good timing as the weather IS HOT HOT HERE. The guy who installed also said it said it was a breeze to put up. July 20, 2010

Emerson Fans Warranty

All products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for one year from date of sale, except for motors in selected ceiling fan models whish are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for extended periods of time. See the specific limited warranty included in the owner’s manual packed with each fan. These warranties do not apply to damage from accident, misuse, or alteration; nor where the connected voltage is more than 5% above the nameplate voltage; nor to equipment improperly installed or wired or maintained in violation of the Instruction Sheet. These warranties are valid only in the fifty states of the United States. No employee, agent, dealer or other person is authorized to give any warranties on behalf of Emerson Electric Co.

The customer shall be responsible for all costs incurred in the removal or reinstallation and shipping of the product for repairs. Within the limitations of these warranties the customer should contact Carrol Appliance, authorized Service Center, at 1-800-654-3545. We will replace parts, or the unit, at our option, at no charge to you with return freight paid by Emerson. It is agreed that such repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy available from Emerson Electric Co. and that EMERSON IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE.
