  • hi, what is the difference between this light and the CEA and the CA-L?

    A. The Elco EL1499ICA is and the CA-L are pretty much the same unit. The difference in this one would be that the CA-L was changed on the insides a little bit to make it a lower voltage unit. The outside of the unit is exactly the same. The CEA is an electric transformer where the other two are magnetic. The electronic maybe a little bit more expensive to run because of having to switch out for electric switches if you have been running on a magnetic transformer unit. The magnetic transformers do last a little longer than the electric.
