  • Is there an elco light like the EL1497 that isn't a low voltage light? I would like to find this light in a 120v setup.

    A. Unfortunately we do not carry anything else like this by Elco that does not use low voltage lights.

    A. The Elco EL1497 does require a low voltage housing; the El1499R will work.

    A. The Elco EL1497 is a pull down trim. The housing you need is Elco EL1499R

  • Are these lights dimmable?

    A. The Elco EL1497 is just a trim and the ability to dim depends on the housing that you would be using it with.

  • I am remodeling my bathroom will this work in the shower or outside shower only?

    A. The Elco EL1497 is UL listed for damp locations so will only work outside of the shower.

  • Which compatible housing IS dimmable with this trim?

    A. Thank you for your question. The Elco EL1497 is just the trim. the brain that is dimmable is in the can. All you would need is to get the magnetic transformer, then get the dimmer switch for the magnetic transformer. Thank you and have a wonderful day!!!

    A. The Elco EL1497 rotates horizontally 359 degrees.

  • What remote tranformer would you recommend for this light?

    A. Thank you for your question. A recommended transformer for the Elco EL1497 is an ETR50. Any 12V transformer (magnetic or electronic) would work with this. The model number EL1497 is trim only and requires an MR16 bulb.

    A. The Elco EL1497 is designed to work with the Elco EL1499R.
