  • What type of bulb does this lamp require? In technical specs it says the shade of the lamp is silver. I thought it was orange as in picture?

    A. The Eglo 87277 uses a 60W incandescent bulb. It has an orange shade, but the trim is 'silver' matte nickel.

Description NOT ACCURATE 1- I thought the globe would be matte as in the picture, but it's not so the finish looks cheaper than what they advertize 2- worse, the base is not 'matte nickel at all, it' just a greyish cheap plastic. So it could have been a great accent, but the actual lamp is disappointing October 20, 2011
great retro look I bought 2 of these lamps for the top of an old console stereo and love them. I have a 7 watt night light bulb in them and it just casts a nice soft glow. If you put a 60 watt bulb in it, the glass shades will get very hot, not sure if the glass would crack, and the whole room glows in bright orange, from outside looking in the windows, it will look like your house is on fire. If you want to light up a room, this is not the lamp for you, but if you want something that looks like lighted art, get one - and use a night light bulb. December 17, 2010
