Looks Great on the Site But Not Worth The Money
So many things went wrong with these lamps. I ordered the lamps in December, 2010. I was told I'd have them by January. I received the lamps in March 2011. Dimond/ Elk Lighting the maker of these lamps pushed back delivery because I think they needed to produce more lamps. They would set a new date and just not deliver. They should have been honest about the production date - I would have gone somewhere else if I knew it was going to be March. When I received the lamps they had the following issues: 1) One of the lamps - the metal piece where you screw in the lightbulb had to be pulled out w/ pliers to screw the light bulb in.
2) The lamps don't have a weight at the bottom. The body of the lamp is hollow w/ just felt covering the bottom. They look heavier than they are. This was disappointing.
3) One of the lamps - the plastic insert to fill where the electrical cord comes out of the lamp was just hanging on the cord. It was just sloppily put together. Another sloppy thing - the felt peeped out bigger than the base of the lamp or rather the person that glued it didn't do it correctly.
4) Finally the lampshades are horrible. It took them sending me 6 shades to get shades that looked decent (I'm still not really happy but I'll deal at this point). On the bottom rim of the lampshades that raps the material around the metal you can see the glue sloppily put on. It's really visible when the light is on. The other lamp shades came with stains of some sort - uggh. I've purchased lamps from Pottery Barn, Horchow, etc at this price point and the quality of their lamps are far superior to this lamp. It wasn't worth the money and time I spent. Luckily, my customer rep (Nick) was awesome and really diligent to make Dimond/Elk rectify this situation!

elegant lamp
The Dimond Lighting Table lamp is a beautiful lamp that would looks beautiful in my bedroom. It looks sleek and modern, and yet goes well with my traditional furniture. It is a large lamp, with presence. Love it!
