Innovative design for long life, low noise and low power consumption, the Delta Breez humidity sensor exhaust fan model VFB25AEH delivers air flow rate of 130 CFM at 1.5 Sones. Power consumption is only 24 Watts with an efficiency rating of 5.4 CFM/Watt. The life expectancy for this fan is 70,000 hrs, which is about 8 years running continuously. This quiet energy efficient bathroom fan combines several design innovations, including a switching power supply that converts AC 110~220V power source to DC power to drive a DC brushless motor. This design provides a quieter solution with energy savings up to 65% compared to traditional AC motor products. Users can cycle switch on/off for humidity sensor mode and full speed mode. This product has a default humidity threshold setting of 50% humidity environment. In humidity sensor mode, fan will kick in when the humidity level reaches 50% and above, and will turn off automatically after the humidity level comes back down to lower than 50%. The motor will adjust the speed according to humidity levels. When humidity level is high, the fan will spin faster to quickly exhaust the moisture. When humidity level is low (but still higher than 50%), the fan will run at a lower speed, which allows you to continue to vent for better indoor air quality. This product also incorporates a dual color (blue and amber) LED indicator to show if it is running at humidity sensor mode or full speed mode.
Because of the effects it has on health, comfort, and serviceability, indoor air quality in our homes is becoming an increasing concern to many people. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recommended a mechanical exhaust system to be installed in your home to provide whole building air ventilation (ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2007) in order to improve indoor air quality. This Delta Breez VFB25AEH humidity sensor exhaust fan is an excellent product to achieve this goal with its superior features of ultra low power consumption, and almost silent operation. Cycle switch on/off in between humidity sensor mode and full speed mode for continuous or smart operation. The energy cost for operating this fan 24/7 for an entire year is less than approximately $22.98.
Power rating of 110~220volts/50~60Hz; DC Brushless motor equipped with thermal cutoff fuse; Galvanized steel body housing; Detachable 4” diameter duct adapter; Built in back draft damper; Easy installation; Housing dimensions (LxWxD) = 9.68" x 9.68" x 7.98"; Grille dimensions = 12.36" x 12.36"; Attractive grille design using ABS material; Grille attaches directly to housing with torsion springs; UL and cUL listed for tub/shower enclosure when used with GFCI branch circuit wiring; DC motor technology provides built in soft start function to reduce motor start noise and automatically powers OFF when impeller is locked abnormally; 3 year limited warranty.

10 Questions from the Community
-
At what humidity percentage does the exhaust fan activate and how long does it run? Can you adjust the humindity level on the fan or is it fixed?
-
How many sones on this unit?
-
CAN THIS PRODUCT BE WALL MOUNTED
A. Thank you for your question. The Delta Electronics VFB25AEH is not meant to be wall mounted. It may be able to be wall mounted high as long as the housing will fit and it can be ducted outside. They are usually meant for ceiling installation.
-
Can you adjust the humindity level on the fan or is it fixed?
-
Can you force the fan on manually to exhaust odors?
-
Can I mount this in a 2x8 Ceiling? My electrician is saying it won't work.
A. The Delta Electronics VFB25AEH requires roughly a 10-1/4" x 10-1/4" opening in the ceiling between the wood frames. Also you need about 8" of height inside the ceiling for this to fit. Other than that the grill will consume about a 14" x 14" square after installation.
-
Can this unit work w/o a switch (i.e. directly on AC/DC)? If not, does it required a special switch?
A. The Delta Electronics VFB25AEH is designed to work with a switch. Toggling the switch on and off activates and de-activates the humidity-sensing function; when the humidity sensing function is ON, the fan will run whenever humidity rises above 50%.
-
Can this unit be used with a timer 110v switch (electronic type)?
-
Is this approved for use directly above a shower?
-
Can this fan be installed without going in the attic?
A. The Delta Electronics VFB25AEH does not have a re-circulation kit, so it needs to vent somewhere. That means either through the ceiling and out the roof, or through the ceiling and out the side of a wall depending on your duct run.
