Innovative design for long life, low noise and low power consumption, the Delta Breez humidity sensor exhaust fan model VFB25ADH delivers air flow rate of 110 CFM at 1 Sone. Power consumption is only 16.2 Watts with an efficiency rating of 6.79 CFM/Watt. The life expectancy for this fan is 70,000 hrs, which is about 8 years running continuously. This quiet energy efficient bathroom fan combines several design innovations, including a switching power supply that converts AC 110~220V power source to DC power to drive a DC brushless motor. This design provides a quieter solution with energy savings up to 65% compared to traditional AC motor products. Users can cycle switch on/off for humidity sensor mode and full speed mode. This product has a default humidity threshold setting of 50% humidity environment. In humidity sensor mode, fan will kick in when the humidity level reaches 50% and above, and will turn off automatically after the humidity level comes back down to lower than 50%. The motor will adjust the speed according to humidity levels. When humidity level is high, the fan will spin faster to quickly exhaust the moisture. When humidity level is low (but still higher than 50%), the fan will run at a lower speed, which allows you to continue to vent for better indoor air quality. This product also incorporates a dual color (blue and amber) LED indicator to show if it is running at humidity sensor mode or full speed mode.
Because of the effects it has on health, comfort, and serviceability, indoor air quality in our homes is becoming an increasing concern to many people. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recommended a mechanical exhaust system to be installed in your home to provide whole building air ventilation (ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2007) in order to improve indoor air quality. This Delta Breez VFB25ADH humidity sensor exhaust fan is an excellent product to achieve this goal with its superior features of ultra low power consumption, and almost silent operation. Cycle switch on/off in between humidity sensor mode and full speed mode for continuous or smart operation. The energy cost for operating this fan 24/7 for an entire year is less than approximately $15.51.

7 Questions from the Community
What are the sones on this fan?
I would like some details on how the humidity sensing works. Do you just leave it "on" all the time and then it switches on and off depending on the humidity?
A. You are correct. As long as it is set to on, if the humidity reaches above a set point, the fan kicks on. The set point is at 50% humidity and not adjustable. Typically, after someone takes a shower or bath, the fan continues to run until the air in the room is de-humidified. Of course, the humidity sensing feature can be set to off, as well. The conventional wall switch toggles the humidity sensing feature on and off.
The flange on the fan housing would rest against the sheetrock on the room side ? I am trying to replace an existing fan the Delta. Also how do you overide the humidity sensor if you want to run the exhaust fan manually?
A. Yes, the metal flange of the fan box will contact the drywall when installed. The humidity sensor can easily be overridden by simply cycling the wall switch. Turning the switch on will power the VFB25ADH in Humidity Sensing mode, and cycling the switch on/off/on will override the sensor and power the fan in full-speed mode. No special controls are needed.
we live on the coast, how will the outside housing stand up to the constant salt air?
What do you recommend for a bathroom fan to prevent mold build up on the walls from the shower?
the install sheet says Do not install this ventilating fan where air temperature may exceed 40 degreese c. Does this mean not to put it in my attic where tempature will exceed this tempature or is this talking about thempture of the exhausted air?
what is the grille made of?
A. The Delta Electronics VFB25ADH grille is ABS material like pvc pipe. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Thank you for the question. You can reach me by email (which is quickest) or on ext. 341. Have a wonderful day and happy home improving!
